About Us:

Lynda Seeber began looking after dogs by working at the RSPCA kennels (including quarantine and hospital) in Liverpool, England, where she was born and grew up. People were bringing injured, stray and sick animals to Lynda as far back as she can remember.

After coming to the U.S. in 1971, she continued caring for strays and unwanted pets, including rescuing a distressed falcon and guillemot.

Lynda took formal lessons in obedience training and pack mentality from master-trainer Roman Dizon in California (visit his web site at http://www.calerok9.com).  She and Roman are in the process of writing an educational self-help book on dog behavior and training.

Finally able to open her kennel, Lynda searched for the perfect property with all the elements in place for the dogs to be able to play and swim year-round without being confined in a lock-up facility (having been through that experience with her own pets in the past).

So AAA Pet Resort now exists in Bradenton, Florida, and flourishes with happy dogs, some of whom would rather stay than go home!!  We extend a warm welcome to dogs with disabilities or anxiety issues and find that this environment greatly enhances their self-esteem and confidence.

Lynda and the staff go to great lengths to keep the dogs safe and happy, and their owners worry free.  Videos of the dogs are taken every day and emailed directly to their owners on a regular basis at no charge.  Lynda knows from personal experience the anxiety owners suffer when they have to board their pets.

The only draw-back in allowing the dogs to run loose is the need for strict procedures required of the public when coming and going from this type of controlled environment.  Strict rules are in place and are made part of the boarding contract and owners must agree to abide by these rules prior to their pet being accepted for boarding. Visitors are also requested to abide by the rules, which are in place for the safety of the dogs boarding here.  These rules are very simple, yet very important, and are:

1.  Appointments are required - we don't accept drop-ins.  We can only meet and process one family at a time.  We never make you wait.

2.  Five minutes before appointment, call our cell phone to let us know if you're on time or delayed.  We now fire into action to meet you.

3.  Wait five minutes before approaching our property (gives time to fire into action and ensure a safe and calm entrance for your pet)

4.  Never park in front of the property without the 5-minute warning call.

If people approach the gate without a staff member being aware of their presence, the dogs will see them first, think they are intruders, which could cause a dog to become angry and protective, which in turn jeopardizes the integrity of this property and the safety of other dogs in close proximity to the angered dog (called "transference" in training circles).  This can lead to injuries and bad client relations!

The health, safety and happiness of the dogs staying here is our first and only priority and responsibility.
