Lynda Seeber began looking after dogs by working at the RSPCA kennels (including quarantine and hospital) in Liverpool, England, where she was born and grew up. People were bringing injured, stray and sick animals to Lynda as far back as she can remember. After coming to the U.S. in 1971, she continued caring for strays and unwanted pets, including rescuing a distressed falcon. There are six permanent residents at AAA Pet Resort. They are:
Bonnie and Clyde, a pair of Shih Tzu's who are absolute clowns;
Big Foot, a great dane/lab mix who we adopted from Great Dane Rescue - he's adorable and fabulous;
Buster, given to us by our State Trooper neighbor - he's the guard dog now (Buster, not the Trooper !!);
Titus, a gorgeous dobie who was relinquished to us by his owner. We fell in love with Titus when he boarded here, so were thrilled when he came back permanently.
And last, but not least, Samantha, a 10-week old black German Shepherd. She was a surprise. We found a fabulous home for the two llamas (Baby and Kate), who were afraid of the dogs, and their new owner was so appreciative, he gave us Samantha on the condition that we keep her. You bet !!
If you remember Jake, the 5-year old Australian Shepherd we adopted from the Manatee Humane Society after languishing there for over a year. Well, he loved it so much here, that he began to resent the new guests coming in, so Jake moved on to a wonderful new home with Ed and Mary who own Acme Pool Service.
